Honolulu marketing that follows the H-1, the Pali, and your crew's day

Three commutes hide inside the word Honolulu: town, windward, and the west side.

If you run a brokerage, a trade, a cleaning crew or a health practice on Oahu, your best customers sit in a few neighborhoods, not across the whole island. HeyLead builds your Google Ads, SEO, Meta ads and website pages around the places you serve, such as Waikiki, Kailua, Kapolei and Pearl City. The starting point is a free audit. Results come back as booked work in dollars.

Who we work with

Who we work with on Oahu

check_circle

Brokers, agents and property managers who already tour Waikiki condos and Kailua homes and want owner calls, not portal browsers.

check_circle

HVAC, plumbing and pest firms whose trucks finish a day in Pearl City or Kapolei and want jobs inside that loop.

check_circle

Commercial and residential cleaning crews with building access rules, move-out calendars and a roster that reaches from Waikiki to the west side.

check_circle

Owner-led practices and firms that want a team who understands Oahu, not an agency running a Mainland playbook.

Where to start in Honolulu: Real Estate and Property

A van leaving Waikiki in the afternoon can spend a long time on the H-1 before it reaches Kapolei, and the Pali Highway is a different commute again. Ads that ignore that spend money on jobs nobody can staff.

HeyLead is an online marketing team for owner-led firms on Oahu. We run Google Ads, SEO, Facebook and Instagram ads and web pages for real estate, home services, cleaning and health practices. Each plan is built around the neighborhoods you can reach, and every report is in dollars.

  • check_circle Service areas written as the neighborhoods you staff, so nobody is promised coverage you cannot give
  • check_circle Zillow, HiCentral MLS and Realtor.com left to do their job, while your ads go after owner and landlord searches
  • check_circle Hawaii broker and contractor license details shown on the pages where they belong

Marketing in Honolulu: what to know

Your market

What is different about Honolulu

Oahu has one freeway spine, the H-1, and almost every service business in Honolulu plans its day around it. Waikiki and Kakaako are dense towers where building access matters as much as price.

Pearl City and Aiea sit mid-island, close to Pearl Harbor and the military housing that turns over on a steady cycle. Kapolei and Ewa Beach are newer suburbs on the leeward side, on flatter, drier ground.

Over the Pali Highway or Likelike Highway, Kailua and Kaneohe are windward towns with older lots, more rain and a strong local identity. Real estate has its own quirks, including leasehold and fee simple condos.

Zillow, HiCentral MLS and Realtor.com carry the people shopping for listings. Brokers work under Hawaii Real Estate Commission licenses and trades hold Hawaii contractor licenses, and HeyLead holds neither.

Hawaii's general excise tax (GET) applies to your revenue, so we report in dollars and leave tax to your accountant.

Your customers

How customers find you

Your customers search in short, plain phrases: Honolulu property management, Honolulu HVAC, Waikiki plumber, commercial cleaning Honolulu. A good lead is someone who lives or owns property inside the area you serve and who answers the phone when you call back.

We treat Kapolei and Kaneohe as separate markets, because a crew that covers one rarely covers the other in a working day. Visitors around Waikiki are everywhere, but for most of these firms they are not the buyer, so we keep them out of the targeting.

Every month you see booked work by neighborhood, in dollars, next to what each area cost to win.

Our approach

How HeyLead runs it for you

The first step is a one-page service map. It lists which neighborhoods you can reach by mid-afternoon, which only on planned days, and which you should leave alone. Campaigns, pages and ads are built from that map instead of one island-wide setting.

Google Ads takes the urgent searches. SEO builds a page for each neighborhood and service, so calls keep arriving without paying for every click.

Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram) reach people who are not searching yet and show your ads again to people who visited your site. Every offer gets its own page and its own short form.

Tracking labels each call and form by neighborhood from the first week.

Common mistakes

Common mistakes firms in Honolulu make

01

One Oahu campaign for every zip code

Google will happily spend across the whole island. A crew based in Pearl City then pays for clicks in Kaneohe at 4 pm on a weekday. Draw the map from your roster first, then let the budget follow it.

02

Letting the portals do all the talking

Zillow, HiCentral MLS and Realtor.com already own searches for homes, and chasing those terms as an operator burns budget. Owners looking for a manager or a maintenance crew type different words. Pages that name the neighborhood and the building type win those calls.

03

Visitors, owners and residents on one form

Waikiki packs short stays, long-term renters and owners into a few blocks. One offer aimed at all three confuses the form and the follow-up call. Separate the paths before the first ad runs.

How it works

How we work with you, step by step

  1. 01

    Draw the service map

List the neighborhoods your team reaches by mid-afternoon and the ones that need a planned day. Waikiki, Kailua, Kapolei or Pearl City stay in the headline only when your roster backs it up.

  2. 02

Give each offer its own page

Real estate, trades, cleaning and health each get their own page and form. Inside each one, emergency and planned work, or sales and leasing, split again so the phone call matches the ad.

  3. 03

Match the channel to the job

Google Ads catches people who need help now. SEO pages hold neighborhood and service searches over months. Meta ads reach owners who are not searching yet and show your ads again to site visitors.

  4. 04

    Report what booked

Monthly numbers show booked jobs, listings or consults by neighborhood, in dollars. A cheap lead that never booked does not count as a win.

I've worked with HeyLead for over a decade. There is no one else I'd trust with lead generation and IT. I've tried others, to my detriment. If you want someone who is dedicated and trustworthy, you couldn't pick someone better.

Our company 1800 CLEANER has worked with Martin for over two years now and we can attest he is one of the best. His technical knowledge in the SEO and online marketing space is second to none. FAQs

Questions about Honolulu

Straight answers about local coverage, campaigns, pages, and how we measure demand in Honolulu.

Do you have an office in Honolulu? expand_more

No. HeyLead is an online team, so you will not find a Honolulu office to visit. We work with you by phone, video or email, and we run your campaigns for the neighborhoods you staff.

Should one campaign cover all of Oahu? expand_more

Rarely. Town, the windward side and the west side have different drive times and different buyers. Starting with the neighborhoods you can reach on a normal day keeps spend tied to jobs you can take.

Which portals matter for Honolulu real estate? expand_more

Zillow, HiCentral MLS and Realtor.com carry listing shoppers, and they will keep doing so. We treat them as background and build your own pages and ads for the owner and landlord searches they do not serve.

Can we begin with one neighborhood? expand_more

Yes. Many firms start with Waikiki and Kakaako, or with Kailua and Kaneohe, then add Kapolei after a few months of booked work. A smaller scope makes the reporting easier to read.

What happens in the first 30 days? expand_more

We review your service area, check what your current ads and pages promise, and plan the first landing pages and campaigns. Call and form tracking goes in early so the first booked jobs are counted.

What do you need from me to start? expand_more

Access to your Google Business Profile, your ads accounts and your website. We also need the neighborhoods you serve, your license details and how many jobs you can take each week.

Where do the SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads and web design pages sit? expand_more

Honolulu has its own page for each of those four services, and each one is linked from the Honolulu hub. Health practices have their own Honolulu page too, with advertising rules in mind.
