Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies on heylead.com and how the Insights tracker works on Client sites.

Last updated: August 8, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how HeyLead LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on https://heylead.com, and how the HeyLead Insights tracker may operate when installed by Clients on their own websites. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

01

What are cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, local storage, session storage, scripts, and software development kits (SDKs) that read or store identifiers. Together we call these "cookies" in this policy for simplicity.

02

Who this Cookie Policy covers

  • HeyLead Website visitors (heylead.com and regional paths)
  • Clients and operators logging into product dashboards
  • Visitors to Client websites only to the extent the Client installs the HeyLead Insights tracker - the Client is responsible for their own cookie banner and disclosures; this section explains how that tracker works

Full personal-data practices are in our Privacy Policy.

03

How we use cookies

  • Operate core Website and product features securely
  • Remember preferences and sessions
  • Measure traffic and performance on our Website
  • Attribute marketing campaigns and measure conversions
  • Support Insights behaviour analytics when installed by Clients
  • Prevent abuse of free tools and forms
04

Types of cookies we use

05

Third-party cookies on heylead.com

Depending on configuration, third parties may set cookies when you visit our Website:

  • Google Analytics / Google Ads / GTM - analytics and advertising. Google cookie policy
  • Meta Pixel - conversion measurement and retargeting. Meta cookies
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag - B2B conversion insights where used. LinkedIn cookie policy
  • Cloudflare - security and performance cookies/tokens
  • Scheduling / chat tools if embedded (for example Calendly)

These providers may process data under their own policies. We encourage you to review them.

06

HeyLead Insights tracker on Client websites

When a Client installs Insights (snippet or GTM), scripts on the Client's site may store or read identifiers and send behavioural events to HeyLead infrastructure. That may involve first-party cookies, local storage, or cookieless identifiers depending on implementation.

6.1 Typical purposes

  • Session stitching for replays
  • Click, scroll, and pageview measurement
  • Heatmap aggregation
  • Bot/noise filtering and security

6.2 Client obligations

  • List Insights (or "session recording / heatmaps") in the Client cookie notice
  • Obtain consent before non-essential tracking where required (EU/UK and similar)
  • Offer opt-out mechanisms consistent with local law
  • Mask sensitive form fields
If you are a visitor to a Client site and have questions about tracking there, contact that site owner. HeyLead processes Insights data as their service provider / processor.
07

Product dashboards and Auto Blogger

When you log into HeyLead product dashboards, we use necessary cookies/local storage for authentication, CSRF protection, and preferences. Auto Blogger itself does not place marketing cookies on end-user devices of your customers; it publishes content to your CMS or Git repository under your configuration.

08

Cookie duration

  • Session cookies expire when you close the browser
  • Persistent cookies last from days to up to 24 months depending on purpose (analytics/marketing often 1-24 months)
  • Exact lifetimes vary by provider and configuration
09

Managing your cookie preferences

You can control cookies by:

  • Browser settings (block/delete cookies)
  • Our cookie banner or preference centre where shown
  • Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
  • Platform ad settings and industry pages such as the Digital Advertising Alliance or NAI
  • Mobile OS ad personalisation settings

Blocking necessary cookies may break login, forms, or security features.

10

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Browsers may send Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Where required by law and technically feasible, we honour GPC as an opt-out of sale/share/targeted advertising for our Website. DNT is not uniformly implemented industry-wide; third parties may not honour it.

11

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices or products change. The "Last updated" date will be revised. Material changes to Insights tracking will be communicated to Clients where appropriate so they can update their own notices.
